What you need to know

You can knit our simple poppy flowers in under an hour.

Traditionally worn as a symbol of remembrance and reflection, poppies offer a thoughtful way to honour and remember loved ones or commemorate special occasions. Made using two strands of laceweight yarn held together, which equates to a 4-ply, these blooms can also be knitted using whichever yarn you prefer. They are wonderfully easy to make and each one is finished with a pretty button centre. For an extra touch of sparkle and individuality, you could embellish your poppies further with beads.

What you need

Yarn, laceweight, colour of your choice
